Inclusion

At Marwood Primary School, we believe that every child should feel valued, included and successful.

We recognise that children come to school with different strengths, experiences, interests and needs. Our role is to understand those needs, remove barriers and provide the support and opportunities that enable every child to flourish.

Inclusion is not a separate part of school life. It is woven through our curriculum, teaching, relationships and wider opportunities. We believe that all children should be able to learn, participate and belong as full members of our school community.

We have high expectations for every child and are committed to helping all pupils develop the knowledge, skills, confidence and independence they need to be successful both now and in the future.

Strong relationships are at the heart of our approach. We work closely with families and, where appropriate, external professionals to ensure that support is carefully matched to need and that children receive the right help at the right time.

Our aim is simple:

To create a school where every child feels that they belong, every child experiences success, and every child has the opportunity to thrive.

Within this section of the website, you can find out more about our inclusive practice, SEND provision, communication and language support, wellbeing provision and the ways we work with families to support every child to flourish.
